Spencer Amundsen, MD

Dr. Spencer Amundsen is a fellowship-trained total joint replacement specialist at the Center of Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Excellence. He specializes in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee, including primary and revision joint replacements. He is certified in Mako robotic hip and knee surgery and Birmingham hip resurfacing. He has extensive training in anterior approach hip replacements and computer navigation.

Dr. Amundsen grew up in Sandy, Utah. He is married with 3 children. He is an avid skier, downhill mountain biker, and rock climber. He played on the Utah state championship soccer team at Brighton High school in 1999. He was a competitor at the U.S. Freeskiing Nationals in 2008 and 2009 and at the USA Masters Ski Jumping National Championships in 2013 on the 25 and 50 meter hills.
